Across the nation, Americans crowded around television sets and many brushing tears from their eyes. All the churches were crowded with people, who went there to pray. The most of the events were cancelled. For first time in the US History all flights were grounded.
In times of national crisis, Americans post the flag on their houses, federal buildings and on the most of businesses. Whole world is shocked...


President Bush is promising nation that those responsible for the attacks will be hunted down. "We will bring them to justice!" He has said the United States wants Bin Laden dead or alive for his alleged role in organizing the attacks.

World Trade Center Survivor PUBLIC POSTINGS On September 11, 2001 terrorists unleash worst attack ever on American soil. Over 2,000 people were killed and hundreds injured. The 19 people identified by the FBI as hijackers aboard the four planes.
  • At 8:40 EDT "American Airlines" - Flight 77 Boeing 757, carrying 58 people from Dulles to Los Angeles crashes into the Pentagon, igniting the building. The 19 people identified by the FBI hijackers aboard the four planes.

  • At 8:45 a.m. EDT American Airlines" - Flight 11, carrying 92 people from Boston to Los Angeles crashes into the north tower striking the upper section of the World Trade Center.

  • At 9:03 a.m. EDT "United Airlines" - Flight 175, carrying 65 people from Boston to Los Angeles crashes into the south tower striking the upper mid-section.

  • At 9:30 a.m.: President Bush, speaking in Sarasota, Florida, says the country has suffered an "apparent terrorist attack."

  • At 9:40 a.m.: The FAA halts all flight operations at U.S. airports, the first time in U.S. history that air traffic nationwide has been halted.

  • At 10:10 another hijacked plane, "United Airlines" - Flight 93 with 45 people crashed in in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

    • Poland observed a day of 'Solidarity with the American Nation' during which flags were flown at half-mast. The Polish Senate honored the victims with a minute of silence and a prayer.


    Gen. Hugh Shelton, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called the attacks "barbaric terrorism carried out by fanatics."
