Car:
Driving in Poland is no different as driving in another European country.  Polish main roads tend to be congested with lorry traffic, so the predominant driving style is quite fast. Foreigners tend to describe it as 'bad and aggressive' but as long as you are mindful on the road, you can drive with no problems.

There are lots of car rental  places in Poland. You can make car reservation before, and pick up at the airport or in any chosen city. Most car rentals will deliver the car to you if you make such request.  If you pick up the car at the airport, you  will end up paying higher taxes.

U.S. and Canadian driver’s licenses are honored in Poland only in conjunction with an International Driver’s License, available at any AAA office for a fee. For more information and office locations in your town, please visit the website: www.AAA.com. You need to have both driver licenses with you.

Taxi:
Taxi stands are marked with the TAXI sign. Taxi can be booked by phone or in the hotel. Higher rates are charged for travel out of city limits, on Sundays and Holidays. A special night fare is applied between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

Railroad:
Utilizing an extensive network of routes and connections, rail is by far the most common and convenient way to get around Poland. Furthermore, rail is an excellent way for a traveler to reach major cities and capitals of Europe. The EuroCity (EC) and the InterCity (IC) trains offer rapid and regular service between major points of interest for the domestic and foreign traveler alike. Complimentary snacks are served on all IC trains.
